The Davenport Central Marching Blue Devils have an exciting once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! We were honored with a congressional invitation to march in the 2015 4th of July Parade in Washington DC. Davenport Central will be representing not only Davenport, but also the Quad Cities, and the state of Iowa in this historic parade marching down Constitution Avenue along the National Mall. Other educational opportunities available for students during this trip include Arlington National Cemetery, the Washington National Mall, Smithsonian Institute Museums, Union Station, and possibly the Capitol and the White House.

 

During the 2014/15 school year the award-winning Marching Blue Devils participated in several community parades and many local marching contests in Iowa and Illinois, culminating in an appearance at the Bands of America Grand National Championships in Indianapolis, IN.
